Lorraine Brown launched her solo singing career in the early nineteen nineties, prior to that she was the lead singer in the celebrated all – girl harmony group ROMANY WAY. Having performed extensively throughout the world, the group disbanded allowing Lorraine the freedom to blossom into a highly polished solo performer destined for a dazzling career in Stage, T.V., Recording, International Cabaret and essentially Corporate Events.
Happy in all of these media she has appeared as an actress in hit British T.V. series whilst also recording songs for aspiring writers and producers. Soulful and rich, her powerful singing voice is charismatic and a sheer delight to experience. Whatever style or tempo of song her interpretation is essentially honest and open. Lorraine Brown is a natural performer with a huge talent. Joining the cast of the highly successful Rock ‘n’ Roll show That’ll Be The Day as lead female vocalist, Lorraine enjoyed continuing success with rave reviews following her rendition of “Heartbreaker” and impressions of early Shirley Bassey hits such as “As Long As He Needs Me”. More TV exposure on a show hosted by British Celebrity Des O’Connor singing the haunting Oleta Adams hit “Get Here”, resulted in critics noting her performance to be “Particularly Outstanding”.
Theatre tours followed, diversifying and developing her vocal styles and performances in shows such as West End in Concert and West End Showstoppers. Her magnificent performances in these shows led to Lorraine being invited to take her show to perform for prestigious cruise companies such as the 6 star Silverseas, Cunard, Royal Caribbean to name but a few where she earns herself standing ovations, fully deserved for this lady who exudes all the appeal and impact of an international star.
Lorraine has had the privilege to perform all over the world and she had a triumphant return to London’s Knightsbridge to perform her own show at the famously renowned “Pizza on the Park” where she received a richly deserved standing ovation. She has performed for members of the British Royal family and she was also exceptionally honoured to be invited to perform at the Princess Grace Foundation Gala Dinner in New York.
Lorraine’s versatility enables her not only to perform anywhere in the world but her various vocal styles have seen her recently secure a record deal with a worldwide major record label. Her first single achieved No.1 in ALL of the main dance charts and she looks set for more and more success.
Whether it is with a fully-fledged orchestra or the intimacy of a trio, Lorraine is equally at home. She continues to excel, delighting audiences wherever she appears. It is the depth of warmth and honesty of her voice and personality that cannot fail to touch anyone who experiences this lady’s shows which is why she is in demand all over the world.
